Letrozole is not a suicide aromatase inhibitor, meaning it will not permanently disable the aromatase enzyme, so it is not the same as aromasin. The other difference is letro is far more powerful at crushing estrogen levels than arimidex. I would use it in emergency situations over the others, but I wouldn’t abuse it.
Arimidex vs Letrozole
Arimidex side effects are not as harsh when compared to AI like letrozole, which has a host of side effects; the most common being erectile dysfunction. Although estrogen is known as a female hormone, men still need it in their bodies. For men, estrogen balances them hormonally and helps them gain muscle and strength. That’s why letrozole, a harsh AI that kills almost all estrogen, isn’t always the best to achieve hormonal balance on your cycle. On the other hand, this is where arimidex shines, as it is a gentle AI that won’t crush your estrogen levels, so you can be more balanced.
What are the dosages and half life for Letrozole?
The half life is approximately 2-4 days. Dosages vary quite a bit, 0.25mg up to 1mg every day or every other day is a good starting dose. It’s best to be conservative with the dosage because if you overdose the sides can be harsh.
How does Letrozole work?
Similar to all aromatase inhibitors (AIs), letrozole, by binding to the aromatase enzyme, prevents estrogen from being released. It is known as a type II aromatase inhibitor.
It is the most powerful AI available; in fact, studies have shown it to drops estrogen levels in women by up to 98%. In men, clinical studies have shown a drastic reduction in estrogen levels very quickly of up to 65%. The main reason may be because it has the ability to crush estrogen through competitive/reversible binding to the heme of the relevant cytochrome P450 unit (protein enzyme).
What are the dosages and cycles for Arimidex?
In the treatment of breast cancer, Arimidex is almost always dosed at 1mg per day until the cancer subsides. Use may continue for a time at this stage and will often be switched to Nolvadex in a preventative measure once the cancer is in remission.
For the anabolic steroid user, Arimidex doses can vary with 0.5-1mg every other day being the most common. Very few should ever need more than 1mg every other day and many will be more than fine with half that amount. In therapeutic plans such as low testosterone treatment even less may be needed. We can, however, make an exception in Arimidex doses for competitive bodybuilders. Competitive bodybuilders may find a full 1mg every day the last 10-14 days leading up to competition to be useful. This will greatly aid in hardening, but it will be draining to say the least. Of course, at this stage of a competition diet most have very little energy to begin with anyway.
Compare Arimidex with Femara
if u wanna gain faster anti-estrogen effects,u could use letrozole for post cycle therapy.
if u wanna gain more stable & warmer anti-estrogen cycles,u could use Arimidex for post cycle therapy.
